The Bald Eagles are a live band led by the bluesy vocals of Bob “the Bear” and the driving rhythm guitar of Phil DJ. The Bald Eagles play classic rock, Aussie rock and blues for ‘zero’ birthdays, weddings, pubs and clubs.
Covering original artists from the 60s to the noughties such as Van Morrison, Eagles, Creedence, the Doors, Oasis and Powderfinger, the evening usually progresses with banter and ends with a packed dance floor.
The Baldies usually play the western suburbs Brookfield, Chapel Hill, Kenmore, Indooroopilly, Taringa, and Oxley to Ipswich, and often cross Brisbane town or head up the Sunshine Coast & Cooroy for a good gig.
New original music on the way:
Bob and Phil have been working on some ballads and rockers over Christmas and the the early new year.
Bob: "I've got a lot of songs in me" has been putting down some heartfelt lyrics.
'Sometimes', a tune about battling back in the face of the ups and downs of life will be ready for the upcoming Brookfield Bar gig in early April.
Sometimes I wake up feeling lonely
Sometimes I wake up feeling sad
Sometimes I wake up feeling gloomy
And sometimes I wake up feeling bad
